Mecklenburg County
Riverpointe - Architectural controls have helped create a beautiful lakeside community on the North Carolina side of the lake. It offers exclusive homes on the lake with gorgeous views. Amenities include swimming, tennis and community boat docks.
The Palisades - Also underway in the Steele Creek area is The Palisades, where 2,000 plus homes will sprout along the shores of Lake Wylie off N.C. 49 in the next decade.
Construction of the 1,500-acre golf community began this summer. The initial phase includes 325-plus homes priced from $250,000 to $2 million and is the first of six such neighborhoods.

Tega Cay - This unique lakeside community is located in the Fort Mill School District and features golf, swimming, and a fine country club. It's a great family community with soccer fields and competitive swimming as well as boating and a marina.
The Landing - The developer, Crescent Resources, is well known locally as a premier designer of upscale restricted neighborhoods. Interior lots start at $42,500; waterfront lots, at $107,500; and custom built homes, at $300,000. The community promises a relaxed pace of life, breathtaking scenery, excellent Clover, S.C. schools, close-by shopping and easy access to Charlotte.
WindSwept Cove - Tucked along the shores of Big Allison Creek on the South Carolina side of Lake Wylie, Wind Swept Cove offers 119 home sites situated on 224 acres. Waterfront lots average 1.6 acres, and have piers and boat docks.

Misty Waters - A restricted waterfront community on Lake Wylie, Misty Waters is a new community featuring waterfront and off-water home sites on heavily wooded rolling terrain. The amenities include a clubhouse, pool and community gathering area. The off-water home sites will have private boat slips available. The community is in quiet and rural Gaston County, but close to Charlotte's international airport, top notch medical facilities and major interstates.
Woodland Bay - Located in Gaston County on the main channel of Lake Wylie, Woodland Bay is directly across from Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. An intimate community, Woodland Bay offers naturally wooded home sites with spectacular lake views. Home sites range from three-quarter acre to five acres and are priced from $99,000 to $350,000.
